The frame is covered with light yellow guilloche enamel and decorated with gilt sterling silver applied decorative elements, including foliate motifs and the crown of the Russian Empire. At the lower part of the frame is a foliate decoration set with diamonds and a round ruby in the middle. The frame contains a portrait of the Russian Emperor Alexander III, 1845 to 1894. Raised on two spherical legs. Features an openwork back stand. Hallmarked with an 84 Russian Imperial silver standard and other Russian hallmarks. Comes in a fitted box.
