An ancient AE Prutah coin from ancient Judea, commonly known as a Widows Mite, minted during the reign of Hasmonean King Alexander Jannaeus, 103 to 76 BC, and certified by the Independent Coin Grading Company. Struck in bronze, this low-denomination coin circulated widely among the common people and is referenced in the New Testament, where Jesus praises a widows humble offering of two mites as an example of true generosity.
