A World War II type German military document, SS-Panzer Division Wiking Ausweis, ID card. Issued to Kristian Meier, 1943, with photograph, stamps, and signature. The 5th SS Panzer Division Wiking was an infantry and later an armoured division of Waffen SS. It was recruited from foreign volunteers in Scandinavia, the Netherlands and Belgium under the command of German officers. During World War II, the division served on the Eastern Front.
