Description
A World War I German Imperial hate belt or souvenir belt, constructed of brown leather and adorned with assorted buttons and insignia collected as wartime trophies. The brass buckle features the Imperial German crown with the motto God With Us in German, a standard inscription of the period. Such belts were commonly assembled by Allied soldiers using souvenirs taken from captured or fallen German troops. First World War MIlitaria Collectibles.
