Description

A German Dresden porcelain figural mantle clock in the Rococo style, which is characterized by graceful forms, an abundance of stucco flowers and rocaille curls. A white enamel dial with blue Roman numerals and gilded hands. The composition includes figures of a man and a woman in 18th century costume, as well as a putti cherub crowning the clock. The case is richly decorated with molded flowers and hand painted in pastel colors. The base of the clock features a decorative element in the form of a shell, a gilded reticulated ornament and relief foliate scroll elements.
