Nina Nikolaevna Alovert (Russian, born 1935) black and white photograph on paper depicting Mikhail Baryshnikov (Soviet and American ballet dancer, choreographer, actor, born 1948) as Daphnis in Daphnis and Chloe by May Murdmaa, Leningrad. Circa 1970s. Alovert is a master of ballet photography and theater critic, author and designer of numerous books and albums dedicated to ballet art and ballet leaders. The auction label with the inscription, Marian Horosko, on the back.
