Description

An early 19th-century Russian Orthodox icon of the Mother of God the Covering (Domodedovo). Depicts the Mother of God and baby Jesus with a bunch of grapes. There is an assumption that the image was based on Pierre Mignard painting Madonna with grapes. Egg tempera on wood panel.

17 1/2 x 13 3/4 in.

Condition
Shows signs of age. Has some varnish loss, a chip on the lower corner and a couple of holes.
