An exquisitely decorated small Japanese Satsuma vase of footed form with waisted neck and everted rim. With a delicate colored ground and characteristically crackled transparent glaze. Finely overpainted with figural panels of garden court scenes on both sides. Detailed stylized floral and foliate painted decorations to borders and to shoulder. Signed on bottom. Circa: 1880s.
