Description
A large Austrian majolica ceramic cabinet plate in the manner of Bernard Palissy (French, 1510 to 1589). The plate is adorned with relief naturalistic formed and colored seashells, snails. and fruits surrounded by floral and foliage motifs on the border, glazed. Circa: early 20th century. Marked with a Made in Austria, and other Assay marks, and numbered 631, on the back. A rope for hanging on the back. Antique and Vintage Ceramic Porcelain Table Ware and Collectibles.
