Description
A Russian silver kovsh of a traditional form with raised prow and handle. With an admirable exterior made in a trompe-l'oeil technique with a braiding base, a relief bee, and two twisted ropes on the front side and handle. Marked on the bottom with 84 silver standards, George the Victorious for Moscow, Imperial double-headed eagle, assay mark A.A. under the date 1889, and other Russian hallmarks. Weight 86 g
