Pierre Jules Mene, animal bronze depicting two running dogs. Finely modeled and covered with a nice brown patina. Signed to the base: P.J. Mene. Pierre-Jules Mene, 1810 to 1879 was a French sculptor and animalier. He is considered one of the pioneers of animal sculpture in the nineteenth century.
