A set of 27 black and white photographs of the Plattsburgh military camp in 1915. Before the US entered World War I, some Americans organized the Preparedness Movement and established camps to train additional potential Army officers during the summers of 1915 and 1916. The largest and best-known camp was near Plattsburgh, New York under the command of Captain Halstead Dorey. The photos in this lot represent the life of the first Plattsburgh camp. Most of the photos are hand-signed and dated on the bottom. Collectible Antique Military Americana Photography.
