An early 20th century square multicolor marble chessboard on a dark green marble pedestal base raised on six gilt bronze legs modeled as a lion's paws. The sides of the tabletop and the pedestal are decorated with embossed overlays of gilded bronze in a Neoclassic style. Complete with a wooden chess game set.
