An antique ca. 1800 Russian Orthodox icon representing Jesus Christ in the Pantocrator iconography, known in the Western Christianity as Christ in Majesty or Christ with the Fearsome Eye. Mixed media painting: egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood board. Label of La Maison de Russie, a German antique store in Bad Ems, is on the backside of the piece.
