Description
An antique French Louis XVI period portico mantel clock manufactured in white and black marble, and chiseled gilded bronze, with two columns surmounted by an entablature supporting four flower vases. Decorated with flower and bay leaf ornamentations, pendulum in Rhodian sun. Features a white enameled dial signed Chopin a Paris with black Roman numerals, the whole topped by a golden eagle with outstretched wings. Circa the end of the 18th century.
