An antique Russian gold brooch formed as a coiled spiral set with two pearls, a faceted amethyst stone, and a diamond. Hallmarked on the pin: Alpha symbol, 56 gold standard, makers mark AT, for Alfred Tileman, St. Petersburg, 1870–1909. The workshop of Alfred Rudolfovich Thielemann was located on the top floor of the Carl Faberge mansion. Weight: 3 grams. Provenance: Bonhams London Auctions 2007. The item comes in a lined box.
