A stoneware figurine of a hippo decorated with sung glaze, model No. 20182, made by Knud Kyhn for Royal Copenhagen and dated from the 1950s. Marked with blue ink and incised Knud Kyhn marks. Royal Copenhagen is the Danish Royal Porcelain Manufactory. Founded on May 1, 1775 under the patronage of Queen Juliana Maria, the sixth court porcelain manufactory in Europe.
