A Russian gilt silver rectangular, on four feet, with two similarly decorated angular swing handles, the raised hinged cover centring a glazed en plein enamel plaque painted after the painting Bogatyr, or The Knight at the Crossroad by Viktor Vasnetsov, enameled overall with varicoloured cloisonne scrolling floral motifs. With a key escutcheon. Hallmarked with the manufacturer and 88 silver proof marks. Weight: 420.7 g. Russian Silverware Collectibles.
