An antique Russian Orthodox hand painted icon entailed the Panagia Portaitissa, also known as Iverskaya in Russian. Tempera and gold on a wooden panel. The icon belongs to a family of images of the Theotokos and depicts Christ Child sitting on his mothers left arm and she is depicted pointing to Christ with her right hand.
