Two antique Japanese Noh theater Okina masks carved from a single piece of wood painted with natural pigments. Each mask depicts an older man with a long white beard which is a sign of wisdom. The Okina mask takes its origin from the traditional Genryu style of Noh plays called Dance of the Monkeys and features a movable jaw. One mask is marked on the back.
