A Russian Neoclassical letter opener in the style of a Roman gladius sword. The blade is made of jade. The gilt sterling silver handle is decorated with blue guilloche enamel, amethyst cabochons and crystals. The handle has an elephant finial with red enamel spine and jade cabochon.
