Russian Orthodox icon of Tikhvin Mother Of God. The mixed media icon with egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood panel. The icon is overlaid with a Silver oklad or riza, adorned with repousse decor and engraved detailed patterns. Inscribed to the center left on the riza. Marked with an 84 standard Silver hallmark, and other Cyrillic and Assay marks. The Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God is the patroness of children and adolescents.
