A rare vintage Italian Capodimonte hand painted polychrome porcelain figurine depicting a rural boy with flowers and fruits. Mounted on a stand, adorned with figural flowers and gilding. Circa: 1960s to 1970s. Mark with a blue ink mark, and numbered, B 420, on the bottom. Capodimonte porcelain is porcelain created by the Capodimonte porcelain manufactory, which operated in Naples, Italy, between 1743 and 1759. Capodimonte is the most outstanding factory for early Italian porcelain, the Doccia porcelain of Florence being the other main Italian factory. Capodimonte is most famous for its moulded figurines. Giuseppe Cappe is widely known as one of the best Capodimonte porcelain sculptors.
