Adolphe Martial Thabard, French, 1831 to 1905, bronze sculpture depicting a boy with a falcon on his raised left hand, named The Young Falconer. Signed to the round base. Circa the early 20th century. Martial Adolphe Thabard was a sculptor, first studied medicine and diligently attended anatomy classes. He thus acquired a great mastery of the plasticity of the human body which he reproduced in figurines appreciated by various porcelain manufacturers.
