A compilation of issues of the French illustrated journal L Illustration from July to December 1888, vol. XCII, 92. Published in Paris. Hardcover with leather binding, the flyleafs are made of marble paper. The book belonged to the Russian Emperor Alexandre III, from 1845 to 1894. His monogrammed bookplate Gatchina Palace stamp, books personal no. 2917 are on the first flyleafs. Stamped initials AIII and nine pages of the book contain hand-written signatures personally done by Alexander III with initials in red pencil.
