Nicolas Favart, French, 19th century, an oil on canvas painting The happier days of Charles I, after the original painting by Frederic Goodall, British, 1822 to 1904. The painting depicts a large royal barge gliding along the River Thames. The king Charles I is depicted standing beside his queen, Henrietta, watching the children feeding two swans swimming beside the barge. Signed, N. Favart, to the lower right. Unframed.
