Description
An original Russian silver smokers companion by Faberge, workmaster Anders Nevalainen, St. Petersburg, circa 1895. Of a circular form, raised on four feet, with a hinged handle and flanked by two spouts. The lid has an engraved pinecone final. Hallmarks: workmasters initials AN, 88 silver standard, crossed anchors mark for St. Petersburg. Provenance: Sothebys auction house, Russian Works Of Art And Silver, 29 October 2013, lot 16.
