Leon Lundmark, Sweden, American, 1875 to 1942, an oil on canvas painting depicting an Impressionist seascape. Signed, Lundmark, lower right. Housed in a wooden frame. Note: Leon Lundmark was a marine painter, born in Stockholm, Sweden as the illegitimate son of Countess Hanna von Til and S.A. Johnson. He was educated in Stockholm including attendance at the Technical School and Fine Art Academy. In the 1920s, he was in Chicago and served as Director of the Scandinavian-American Art Association.
