An antique late 19th to early 20th-century Austrian cold-painted cast bronze table lamp with modern light fittings. The lamp represens a carpet merchant displaying his wares. Hallmark B Gesch. is on the bottom. Franz Xavier Bergman, 1861 to 1936, was the owner of a Viennese foundry that produced numerous patinated and cold-painted bronzes which were extremely popular in Austria at the time.
