A large Russian traditional hand embossed gilt silver kovsh of a characteristic form featuring an oval shaped bowl with a pronounced front and a massive handle. The exterior of the kovsh is enameled with multicolor figural and geometrical patterns manufactured using the cloisonne technique. The bowl is gold washed inside. The curved handle is set with gemstone cabochons. Hallmarked with 84 Russian silver proof and manufacturer marks. Total weight: 856 g.
