Prodosh Kusum Das Gupta, Indian, born 1912, Modernist verdigris bronze sculpture depicting a mother holding child in her lap, known as Cradle. Circa 1950s. Signed, P. Dasgupta, on the sculpture. Mounted on an oval shaped wooden base. Prodosh Kusum Das Gupta was a sculptor and writer. Prodosh, Indian sculptor and writer. Indian Artists Dels, to United States of America and USSR. Works in National Gallery of Modem Art, New Delhi, Madras Museum, Academy, of Fine Arts Gallery, Calcutta and in private collections in India and abroad. One of a kind artwork.

Overall good vintage condition. Base needs reattachment of one wheel. Signs of wear and Age. Refer to photos. Sold as is.
