Description
An antique Russian Orthodox icon of Christ Pantocrator, the Lord Almighty, or Savior Jesus Christ. Hand painted in egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood board. The icon features an embossed 84 gilt Silver riza or oklad, engraved traditional detailed patterns, the halo is adorned with pierced through elements. Hallmarked with an 84 Imperial Russian standard, a kokoshnik mark, and an illegible makers mark. Circa the late 19th century. Antique Russian Silver Religious Items and Collectibles.
