Lot 112 - ANTIQUE RUSSIAN ORTHODOX CAST BRONZE ENAMEL CROSS

An antique Russian Orthodox cast bronze cross with detailed relief work and embellished with a blue enamel. The central area represents the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, there are the sun and the moon at the ends of the middle bar. Holds a relief text at the bottom edge Bow to Your Cross and Glorify Your Holy Resurrection. The top end displays the Holy Face, the lower part represents the city of Jerusalem, mount Golgotha, and the head of Adam. The backside is etched with a text. Circa: 19th century.
