A rare and highly collectible antique glazed pottery desk set in memory of the French Russian alliance of 1891—1893. The figural group depicts a Russian soldier embracing the Breton woman wearing a traditional headdress. The chimney behind them opens to reveal a storage place. Marked to the bottom: 5525, BB.
