A beautiful Sao comb made of bronze. The handle is decorated with a stylized figurine of a man on a horseback on top as finial. Chad, Central Africa, circa 1960s. Provenance: New York, Private collection. The Sao civilization (also called So) flourished in Central Africa from ca. the fourth or sixth century BC to as late as the sixteenth century AD.
