An antique Japanese Meiji era enamel over brass plate. The exterior of the plate is adorned with a polychrome image of birds in blossoming flowers, and plants on a turquoise ground made in the Cloisonne technique. The border features foliage and swirl motifs. The backside is decorated with a swirl ornament made in the Cloisonne technique. A hanging mechanism is on the backside. Unmarked.
