Description

A vintage French patinated cast bronze sculpture, Adam, from Gates of Hell Statue, after Auguste Rodin, French, 1840 to 1917. Signed with casting, A. Rodin, on a base. Marked, Alexis Rudier Fondeur Paris, on the base. Mounted on a rectangular shaped base. Circa: the second half of the 20th century. Adam is an 1880 to 1881 statue of Adam by Auguste Rodin, first exhibited at the Paris Salon that year entitled The Creation of Man.
