Description

An antique French Louis XVI manner gilt bronze dore jewelry box. The ware is decorated with embossed floral, foliage and ribbon motifs, on the sides. The cover of the box features a rectangular shaped hand enameled plaque depicting a gallant scene playing musical instrument in a garden surrounded by relief floral and foliate scroll accents. Mounted on four legs. Unmarked. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century.
