Description

A vintage fantastic wooden hand carved monkey mask, Ngon from Mali, West Africa. The mask is dark brown in color, very elongated in shape with four rectangular slits for the eyes, a relief nose and mouth. The upper part of the mask is spherical. Small through holes are cut on the sides. Circa mid 20th century. Comes with a stand. Provenance: Ex Thomas Mc Nemar collection of Dr. Calvin Holder, NY. Decorative And Religious Items, African Tribal Art For Collectors.
