Description
An antique Greek terracotta female head, a reproduction of the Grand Tour. The female head, presumably that of the goddess Aphrodite, with curly hair and a wide headdress with a wavy pattern, scratched into it. Such objects were a popular souvenir production during the Grand Tour era, the 17th to early 19th century custom of a traditional trip through Europe, with Italy as a key destination, by upper class young European men.
