An Ancient Egyptian glazed faience amulet figurine. Late Period or Ptolemaic Egypt, ca. 4th to 1st centuries BC. The piece depicts Isis, goddess of love and the Moon, wife of god Osiris, with their son Horus on her lap. As Isis was also the symbolical mother of the pharaohs, this pose represents her role as a holy protector of the ruler. The figure is mounted on a stone base.
