Cast bronze figurine by Paul Dubois, 1829 to 1905, a French sculptor. The artwork represents a seated young woman breastfeeding her two children. Brown patina. Titled Maternity or Roman Charity. Signed by the artist on the backside. Marked F. Barbedienne Fondeur, Paris, 844 on the base. Ferdinand Barbedienne, 1810-1892, was a prominent French metalworker.
