First, The Complete Works of Vsevolod Garshin, published in St. Petersburg by Marx in 1910, includes a portrait, autobiographical sketch, memoirs, and critical articles, all newly revised and supplemented to showcase Garshins life across different epochs. Second, Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk Uezd by Nikolai Leskov, accompanied by drawings by Boris Kustodiev, published in Leningrad in 1930.
