Attributed to Zofia Stryjenska, Polish, 1891 to 1976, tempera painting on canvas mounted on masonite board depicting a scene with a highlander peasant woman and a musician peasant dressed in traditional costumes. Signed lower left. Framed. Completed with a postcard representing a copy of the artwork, inscribed in the print, on the backside. Completed with an auction paper label. Zofia Stryjenska was a Polish painter, graphic designer, illustrator, stage designer, and a representative of Art Deco. Along with Olga Boznanska and Tamara de Lempicka, she was one of the best known Polish women artists of the interwar period.
