Reproductions like this were produced by the Atelier de moulage du Louvre for Grand Tour voyagers or pedagogical reasons, especially for art universities. Has a label on the bottom with an inscription: Musee Du Louvre, Reproduction Interdite, Ateliers de Moulage. An early 20th century Parian bust of a crying child, made of marble, depicts a small child with a veil on her hair, shedding tears.
