Description

An antique Japanese, early Meiji era, covered enamel over copper food container box. The exterior of the ware is enameled with polychrome foliate scroll, and floral ornaments made in the Cloisonne technique. The cover features a polychrome enamel fan medallions surrounded by floral, foliate scroll, and swirl patterns made in the Cloisonne technique. Unmarked. Circa: 1868 to 1877.
