Description
A Christian Orthodox icon made in the old, traditional manner of Byzantine art. It has been painted with egg tempera and gold leaf on the wood. It is a work of modern art of superior quality. The Icon features a central image of Jesus Christ holding a book, surrounded by four smaller images. The top left image depicts an angel, the top right shows a figure likely representing a saint, possibly St. Theodosia, and the bottom row features two saints on horseback, St. George on the left and St. Demetrius on the right.
