Description

An antique, 19th century Russian Icon of Mother of God of Seven Arrows. Hand painted with egg tempera, gesso, and gold leaf on a wood curved panel with a kovcheg border on the back side. Has a label with an inscription on the back side in German. The Seven Arrows Icon, the Most Holy Theotokos is depicted without the Divine Infant. She inclines her head toward her right shoulder, and her heart is pierced with seven arrows or swords. Russian Orthodox Icons, Religious Items, And Collectibles.

Condition
Overall good vintage condition. Signs of wear and age. Has scuffs and stains. Has chips and cracks in paint and wood. Refer to photos. Sold as is.
