An antique 18th-century Russian Orthodox icon of Smolensk Mother of God, with Saint Anna at the border. Mixed media painting: egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood board. Virgin of Smolensk is a highly venerated Orthodox icon of Hodegetria iconography. The original icon dates back to the early 15th century.
