A lot of vintage Russian lacquered wooden trinket boxes of square and triangular shape. Black ground color, red interior. Hinged lids hand-painted with a Palekh-style scenes with Santa Claus. Two trinket boxes are titled in the lower part, Winter and Santa Claus. Palekh is one of the largest centers of Russian lacquer art.
